I love lighting scenes for the GH1. I'm just placing lights in the normal places a light would be in a natural environment.

I did some color grading on these clips. I'm still not dead set on what look im going for on this film. (color wise) I pretty sure it will be a "flat' look though...

Scene 9B

This is the first outdoor night scene. As you can see I was able to take advantage of available light. I had to borrow power from Christmas lights in the trees so I knew I could only use 1 or 2 lights. I ended up using 1 soft box and a small light on a boom poll placed high above the subjects.

Tonight is read through night. I think I might stop and grab a bucket of hot wings and make it feel like happy hour up in there. lol

"Going over some important business..." I was a little worried about shooting at this location but we made it work. The shallow dept of field helped a lot.

All I said was "Don't wear white" and everybody ended up wearing black. Nice touch...

This scene mostly takes place on the couch. I decided to go for a dark cozy feel. I went with a 2 light set up placing a soft box in the corner, and a small hair light on a boom pole. Shooting with the GH1 allows me to take full advantage of the available light in the kitchen.
